Helping to reduce worldwide poverty

STRUCTURE

    FHED, Inc is governed by a board of "Directors" which meet annually to review the work carried out by the Organization and approve a Programme of Work and budget for two years. The regular meeting shall be called when needed by the President or the Secretary according to the bylaws. Shortly after the end of the fiscal year on September 30th no later than 15 days, the President in accord with the Programs Director shall appoint all Directors Nations for the General Assembly to pay or renew their membership fees, elaborate and vote the budget when needed, evaluate and report their work .

    FHED, Inc is composed of Seven departments: Agriculture-forestry, Education and Sport, Health, Technical cooperation, Finance and Administration, Socio-Economic, Public Relation and Information. Each Department rules by a Director serving four years rotating terms according to the bylaws. In accordance with FHED's program, each director is totally independent to work and apply proper tools for the progress of the Organization.

    In addition to its headquater in Brooklyn New York,  FHED, Inc maintains an other headquater in Carice, Haiti and an Office at DUBOIS Shopping Center, Delmas 29 Port- Au Prince., Haiti

Department of Agriculture and Forestry

    The Department on Agro-forestry (DAFO) annually reviews the International  program, analyzes the inconvenients and proposes urgent and accurate action to be undertaken by the Board of Directors. The duty of DAFO is to educate and train the peasants about Rural development, sustainable natural resources management and reducing poverty by defining its strategies and responsibilities and expanding its targets for the benefit of Rural people. Computerizing Agro-forestry cooperatives and enhancing apiculture industry to protect the environment and keep the peasants aware about the evolution of the new technology relating to agriculture.

Department of Education and Sport

    The mission of the Department of Education and Sport (DES) is to elevate nationally and internationally the level of Education and Sport in accordance to the country rules where FHED, Inc is operating, analyze the possible problems and propose immediate action to be undertaken by the Board of Directors.  Addressing all levels of education, prepare high school student to College. Providing basic skills for life with priority on basic education ( formal and non formal education, adult education and adult literacy).  Organize regional and local sport activities, bring adequate materials to the field that help creating a sustainable education/sport program.

Department of Health

    The Health Department controls the evolution of pandemic diseases  and bring substantial info relating to that matter. Working together with the Technical Cooperation to bring accurate material  to better assist the Hospitals, community services and health centers.  Relaying and diffusing throughout the website online coverage of different international seminars and conventions on health in accordance with the international humanitarian laws to keep our members informed about the world health issues.

Department of Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Development 

    The Technical Cooperation Department and Sustainable Development (TCDSD) is the power moving arm of FHED, Inc redefining the quality of the Organization's technical expertise in Health, Agro-forestry, nutrition and food and sustainable Development into practical application in the field. Creating partnership cooperation with the civil society, local goverment and private sector.  Identifying and preparing projects on improving rural development, communication ways and promoting a sustainable rural livelihoods.

Committee on Finance and Administration

    The Finance Department and Administration ( FIDA) works together with the program Committee to present a biennial budget  for the implementation of projets relating to each department in exercising control over the financial administration of the Organization.  Members of the Finance Department are elected  in close session following  the one-day annual General Assembly.

Department of Socio-Economic

    The Socio-Economic Department (SED) strengthens with the program Committee general information to analyzing the causes of poverty and building policies and organizational arrangements that increase the poor's access to employment, resources and services. Combating poverty through pilot projects that help create autonomous rural people's organizations and encouraging people's participation in socio-economic development.

Department of Information

    The Information Department (ID) is the guide of the organization. It keeps members and beneficiaries informed through monthly news letters; working with all departments to prepare and diffuse the FHED,Inc future  and upcoming events also relaying through the website the online coverage of other Humanitarian organizations affiliate to FHED, Inc. Proposes and helps producing guidelines for policy-makers and fosters networking of rural development programs.
